Membership Benefits and Advertising

As Deep Roots has continued to evolve, we have re-visited our membership dues and benefits.

To simplify things, we have combined the family and business memberships. Members can now join as individuals or as a group (specified as members of a family or business, with up to five employees under one membership). Individual memberships have a minimum suggested donation of $30; group memberships have a minimum suggested donation of $50.

We have also been approached by various local producers requesting that we let our members know what they have to offer:  in short, to advertise for them.  While we at Deep Roots think that it is important for our members to know what local products are available, we do not want to simply become a marketing outlet.

In order to advertise via our newsletter, producers must be members of Deep Roots.  Producer members will also be given a detailed link on our website, while non-member producers will simply have their name and phone number listed under their product category.

An individual membership includes one free notice per year in the newsletter; a group membership includes three complimentary notices.  Each notice should be 50 words or less and give a brief description (organic or not, amount, how to obtain, etc.) of the product(s) offered.  All email notices will be listed in the producer section at the end of our monthly newsletter.

Additional newsletter notices may be purchased for $10 apiece, with a maximum of 5 notices per year per membership/organization (including complimentary notices included as membership benefits).

Each month, we will also have one Featured Producer email that will go out two weeks after the newsletter.  These emails are dedicated to a single producer, will consist of 150 words or less, and will cost $50 per email. They are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and each producer is limited to two.
